About Us

Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures was founded in 2000. The company, based in Luang Prabang, Laos, specialized in outdoor adventures, mainly trekking, biking, kayaking and rafting. Over the years the company established its reputation as the market leader in outdoor adventures in Luang Prabang.

In 2007 German Markus Neuer took over the company and has since then given Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures a new face and vision while working towards the aim of a fairer and more responsible approach to tourism.

Today Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures stands for responsible adventure travel of high quality and cooperates with dozens of touroperators worldwide.

In 2010 Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures expanded into Thailand and opened its first office in Chiang Mai.

Mission Statement

Tiger Trail Thailand is committed to offer the best and most innovative cultural, outdoor and adventure trips in Thailand. We believe in sustainable and responsible travel.

We try to create meaningful experiences both for visitors and for the host communities. We respect local traditions and values. We respect the environment and our natural world. We do our best to be educational both to visitors and communities.

The Code

In order to fulfill our commitment as a responsible and ethical tourism company, Tiger Trail Thailand repudiates the sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism. We have joined The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism in order to take concrete actions to prevent this crime.

Our actions include the creation of this policy, elaboration of related procedures, appropriate training of all staff, provision of information to travelers, reporting of possible cases to local authorities/NGOs and submission of reports to The Code Organization. The policy will serve as a guiding document with procedures for staff on how to proceed in the event of a child protection case or emergency. This policy is effective from 1 February 2014 onwards.

CITES

We support CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), which is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival.

We are a very animal friendly company and respect nature. We promote vegetarianism and discourage guests purchasing or harming threatened flora and/or fauna.

We also discourage purchage of historic and religious artefacts.
