Description:
Your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel or guesthouse. Drive to Tweechol Botanic Garden. Here we start cycling. After a brief safety instruction we are on our way! Most likely we are the first visitors of this fantastic botanical garden. We visit the Fern greenhouse, cycle through the Palm garden, admire beautiful orchids and cactuses and get close to some of the animals in the small zoo, such as deer and ostriches. We can even feed them. Once we’ve covered the grounds, we switch to pedal boats and cruise around the garden’s tranquil lake. We visit the small Lanna Museum next.*We exit the gardens and continue cycling through the quiet roads of the Thai countryside where we pass glittering and seldom visited temples and rice fields dotted with water buffalo. It’s lovely countryside out here with great views over the mountains. We will visit local houses where sa paper, wooden dolls and textile elephants are being produced**. There is time enough for taking pictures and chatting with local people. We end our bikeride in a Tai Lue village with an magnificent temple.
We enjoy a delicious Thai lunch on the way to the Mae Sa Valley for our next adventure: ziplining through the trees!
You will get safety instructions first. After this you will get fitted in your safety harness and then you will follow your expert guides to start an exhilarating adventure! Soar from platform to platform on 16 different ziplines that take you through the jungle for bird’s-eye views and fun thrills. Challenge yourself by crossing a rotating log or a zigzag walkway. You are strapped into a safety line at all times so there is no danger of falling and you can quickly gain confidence about being high up between the trees!
At the end of this adventurous day we will transfer you back to your hotel.
*the museum is closed on Monday
**on Sundays there normally will be less activity at handicraft places.

Excellent service with a very grateful personal touch
We took a 20km cycling tour around Chiang Mai's botanic gardens and the surrounding countryside, both beautiful places to cycle.
A leisurely boat paddle and the feeding of animals within the botanical gardens was also included in the tour - a lovely surprise that we didn't expect but certainly worth doing.
Frans and the team took great care of us. Not only did they easily accommodate our heights with the bicycles provided, provided us with fruit breaks and gave us recommendations for dinner, but they also provided us with great insights into everything we were seeing, including local history, knowledge and introductions to the local people.
The lunch stop on the tour was also excellent. So many times on tour is one disappointed with the lunch provided - usually another production styled tasteless buffet. The restaurant we were taken to provided individual service and used only the freshest of ingredients. An excellent reward to the hard peddling we just endured in Thailand's heat. Thanks Frans and the team.
Would recommend the team at Tiger Trail to anyone.”
