This three day trip will take you to the seldom visited Doi Khuntan National Park and to the city of Lampang, the “horse cart city’. Doi Khuntan NP is a beautiful park with plenty of forest and wonderful views. The park also has an interesting history. It’s the only national park in Thailand that has a railway station.In the early morning we hike to the top of Khuntan Mountain. After that we will continue to Lampang, an interesting city with fantastic Lanna style temples, colorful markets and historic houses.

It’s the only national park in Thailand that has a railway station.In the early morning we hike to the top of Khuntan Mountain.We travel by slow train to Doi Khuntan NP. We will hike to the top of Doi Khuntan. After that we will visit the Thai Elephant Conservation Center near Lampang before we return to Chiang Mai.
This is an active tour which will take you to some of the most beautiful spots around Chiang Mai. We spend most time on our bicycles or trekking through the forest. You will meet elephants, chat with tribesmen around the campfire, learn about local traditions, cycle through some of the oldest ruins in Northern Thailand and follow the Ping River along its most scenic stretch.
This tour departs very early and ends around noon time. It is in fact a bit longer than half a day. The morning is the most beautiful time to do a bicycle tour. Temperatures are still pleasant. We cycle through beautiful rural areas and pass villages and markets. When we reach our final destination, Wiang Kum Kam, most of the cycling is behind us. The ruins are within close vicinity of each other so we finish in a relaxed way before it gets too hot.
Lamphun, the ancient capital of the Haripunchai Kingdom, is several hundred years older than Chiang Mai and is steeped in history. We travel to Lamphun by local train. We explore the most famous temple Wat Haripunchai and the fresh food market before the real bicycle adventure starts. We cycle through fruit plantations and ricefields to Ban Tawai, the handicraft centre, visiting villages, market and local temples along the way and stopping to chat with locals.
This tour brings you from Saraphi district to Lamphun, the former capital of the Haripunchai kingdom. We will cycle along the Ping river, through orchards, ricefields and will have plenty of time to stop along the way. Lamphun, the charming former capital of the Haripunchai kingdom, is the main destination today. We will spend considerable time there before we cycle back to Ban Khanomtom in Saraphi.
This is the best and most interesting day trek you can make out of Chiang Mai. Not much driving is involved and the forest and the views are beautiful. You will meet the Hmong, who are originally from Southern China. Today you will visit their villages and learn about their history, their customs and traditions and about their current way of life. Cultivation of opium was very much part of the Hmong way of life. In 1969 King Bhumibol Adulyadej visited Doi Pui. He was concerned that the slash and burn practice of opium production was, apart from being illegal, destroying watershed areas.
This day tour brings you to the most famous markets and temples of Chiang Mai. Start your day by visiting the colorful Warorot Market and Ton Lamyai markets. Continue to one of the town's oldest temples, the well-preserved Wat Phra Singh. The last visit of this day will be Wat Doi Suthep, the most famous landmark of Chiang Mai.
