Your guide will do some shopping for the coming days and he will take you along and explain all about the different ingredients he will be using for meals during the trek. We continue to the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp. This is the most scenic elephant camp in Thailand. Witness the show in which the elephants haul logs and see how they enjoy bathing in the river.
Lunch will be at a nice local restaurant.  After lunch we will start trekking. The trail has a few steep hills but most of the trek is relatively easy. All together we walk about 2,5 – 3 hours. After arrival in the village you can relax, explore the village or learn some Thai cooking by helping your guide prepare the dinner.
He will explain you about the herbs and ingredients he uses. After dinner your guide will take you to one of the village houses where you will meet some of the villagers. The Palong are originally from Myanmar and have fled from public persecution in their homeland.
