Pornchai Singchai
Mr. Pornchai Singhchai is our senior guide. Pornchai was born in Burma and is Shan. His Shan name is Saikham. Pornchai has been guiding for more than 30 years and really is a man of the forest. He is extremely knowledgeable on plants and trees and speaks several of the tribal languages. He designed our Viang Pa Pao trekkings and does his treks with the same enthusiasm as 30 years ago.
Mr. Charan Nantarak
Mr. Charan Nantarak has been a trekking guide for 24 years and is known for his good nature. He comes originally from Chiang Khong on the Thai-Lao border. He came to Chiang Mai to study as a novice monk when he was 18 years old. He is very knowledgeable on Buddhism. After this he served in the Thai army for two years. He loves music and will grab a guitar any time he sees one. He enjoys doing family tours. Furthermore Charan has an extraordinary knowledge of local herbs and plants. Charan is from Chiang Mai.
Mr. Patcharadanai Suthongsa
Mr. Patcharadanai Suthongsa, nicknamed Singha', is a young and energetic trekking guide. He has been been working as a trekking guide for about 10 years now. He comes from northeastern Thailand. He is proud of his good relationship with all the hilltribe villagers. He has extensive knowledge of natural history and of the culture of the tribal people of the Northern Thailand.
