Huay Nam Dang
Huay Nam Dang National Park was formerly know as an area of Doi Sam Muen highland development project which was initited by His Majesty the King to solve the problem of forest encroachment and poaching, as well as to enhance the lives of the local hilltribe people. As this area is filled with attractive natural condition and virginal forests provided vital watersheds, Huai Nam Dang was declared the 81st national park of Thailand by the Royal Forest Department on 14 August 1995.
Located on the joint border between Mae Taeng District of Chiang Mai and Pai District of Mae Hong Son. Total area covers 179.5 sq.kms Here the scenery is beautiful, especially the sea of flying mist in the morning. Many tourists like to come and pitch tents (there is minor charges for pitching tents), tasting the cold weather at the top of these high mountains whilst awaiting the dawn mists.

Doi Kiew Lom Viewpoint
On the top of the hill, one can enjoy a panoramic scenery, stretching up to Doi Luang Chiang Dao. The view is very beautiful, especially in the morning, when the flying mist fills the whole valley, revealing just a sharp top of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. Be there and imagine how beautiful it would be.
Doi Chang Viewpoint
The highest spot of Huay Nam Dang National Park. Here is the origin of several waterfalls. Located in the north of Ban Huay Nam Dang, there is a famous viewpoint in the morning. You can look around a sea of mist and mountainous scenery, stretching away for about 20 kilometers. The route is still a laterite one.
Huay Nam Dang Waterfall
The fall originates from a canal, passing through 3-4 levels. Its height around 50 metres and width 10 metres.
Pong Duad Pa Pae (Highest Hot Spring)
Located in Mae Taeng District, 40 kms off Chiangmai. 35 kms from the Highway Route No 1095: Mae Malai-Pai and turn right for 6.5 kms. It is the highest hot spring of Thailand. Unlike Mok Fa Waterfall which is a part of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, it is a part of Huay Nam Dang National Park. A ticket for the entrance fee costs 200 Baht each.
A mysterious geyser in the forest. This powerful phenomenon spurts up from under the ground at a temperature of 99 C. Its natural properties are good for the skin's complexion.
The most favorite activities of the tourist are rafting, elephant riding, bath and local-style spa. Walk further and get closer, listen to the sound of hot spring gushing from below the earth, with the height of about 5 meters. For those who are fascinated with the atmosphere at this spot are able to pitch tents. Restrooms are provided. However, food needs to be prepared on your own. However, accommodation will be ready soon. We would recommend you add this place into your traveling schedule.
Mok Fa Waterfall
Located on Highway No 1095: Mae Malai-Pai. From Chiang Mai, go along Highway No.107(Chiang Mai-Fang), turn left at Mae Malai market and get along on Highway No. 1095. Then at Mae Malai-Pai Km 20, turn left in to a concrete road and go further for about 2 kilometers.Mok Fa Waterfall is in the area of Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park. Admission fee is 200 Baht each. A ticket is applicable for the particular national park named in the ticket only e.g. here: allow you to enter for another 3 waterfalls which are located in Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park, namely Monthathan, Tad Mok and Mae Sa Waterfalls, not for Pong Duad PaPae or Huay Nam Dang. The ticket is valid for one day.
