Salawin National Park is in Sob Moei and Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son Province. Most of this area is in the high mountain, and lowland. The forest is very well reserved. It is in 721.52 sq.km.

It is very well reserved and being the water source of Yuam, Salaween, Kong Ka, Mae Ngae, and Han Rivers. There are many kinds of plants such as teak, Xylia xylocarpa (redwood plants), and etc. There are antelopes, deer, barking deer, tigers, boars, bears, squirrel, chipmunks, gibbons, palm civets, and birds.

In the dry season, the water level will decrease until can see the sand and rocks. Most of the tourists like to sail longtail boats to go sightseeing the view. The first point is end at sob Moei where Moei River connects to Salaween River. Anopther way can go to Ban Tha Dta Fung . It is far from Mae Sarieng for 47 kilometers following super highway No 1194.

It is very beautiful view especially in the winter will have fog covering along the river and the leaves are changing colors. Besides the river is clearer in the summer so can see white sand. The tourists like to set up the tents on the white sand or sailing the boat to see both sides of the river.
