Activities: Parade featuring the water bathing ceremony of the Phrachao Lanthong Buddha image, boat racing, cultural performances and beaty pageant.

Program:

The Thai New Year is celebrated in April nationwide. Chiang Saen also has splashing water ceremony, water bathing ceremony of Phrachao Lanthong Buddha image and boat races of 4 nations, Thailand, Lao, China and Myanmar. The races take place in mighty Mekong River. The festival is added up with fun by cultural performances and beauty pageant.
