Great trip
The highlight was the little village we stayed over the first night (I don't have the name right here - the tiny little village where only Pornchai brings guests) - that felt like being on an another planet. And I got the feeling that the inhabitants enjoyed the visit as well. The trek itself was very nice through different landscapes - but of course I got the feeling of which impact a heavy rainy season can do... Not only where the "roads" muddy or even gone because of land slides, I got soaked a couple of times crossing rivers even up to my chest! I cannot recommend bringing all kind of people on a tour like this - but for me there where many moments I will never forget. Porn Chai Sing Chai (do I spell his name right??) was an excellent guide. He seems to know the most about flora and culture - and answered happily my questions. But even if he has been working with tourists for many decades he still has an "edge" that leave no doubt about he still is a quite "exotic villager" himself - and not just a regular tour guide.
