Explore Bangkok's bustling Chinatown by bike and cross the river to visit the historic sites of Thonburi district. The classic longtail boats will take you further in rural Bangkok. Discover why this city is often designated "Venice of the East" as our cruise introduces us to the charming canal lifestyle of Thais, much as it existed in bygone eras.

Description:

Transfer on own to the Grand China Princess Hotel in Chinatown. This is where our bicycle tour starts. Tea or coffee will be served while you will get a short briefing on the trip on the lobby of the hotel.

After you have selected a suitable bicycle we will start the trip. We will ride through the narrow alleys of Chinatown and pass markets and Buddhist temples. We cross the Chao Phraya River by ferry to Thonburi, which used to be the capital. We will stop at the Princess Mother’s Memorial Park where we will visit the house where she lived as a child set in open space with beautiful gardens.

After this we will take a 30-minute break from cycling to take a relaxing ride by long tail boat through the canals (klongs) of Thonburi. We will take our bikes with us on the boat.

After disembarking from the long-tail boat, we will cycle through one of the greener areas of Bangkok.  We will cycle on elevated walkways through plantations and orchards. We will enjoy a local lunch along the way. After lunch, we will continue for a short while before boarding another long-tail boat ride back across the river to Chinatown where we finish our trip.  Return to your hotel on your own.
