Cycling through scenic rural landscape to visit hilltribe village. Hiking to waterfall, enjoying with elephant riding and scenic boat trip on Kok River.
You will be picked up from the hotel by your guide and driver. We drive for a short while by pickup truck to the start of our bike trip. After a short briefing we will start cycling. We will pass through scenic rural landscape: rice fields, fruit orchards, rubber plantations, pineapple plantations and forest.
We will stop at villages of the Lahu and Akha minorities and make a beautiful hike to the Huay Mae Sai waterfall where we rest for a while. After the waterfall we will continue cycling. We will have to cycle up a small mountain over a dirt track. We will arrive at the Ruammitr elephant camp. Ban Ruammitr is a Karen village. The Karen is the only tribe in Thailand who keep elephants. You will make an elephant ride of about one hour.
After the ride you will board a long tail boat for a scenic trip on the Kok River to Chiang Rai. Return to your hotel in Chiang Rai later this afternoon.
