This one-day program is especially for hikers and nature lovers. You will trek through cloud forests and early morning mists in search of bird and wildlife on the slopes of Doi Mon Lan. Visit Mae Kampong Village, this village is part of an eco tourism project designed to bring tourists closer to the rural parts of Thailand. This trip also enable you to relaxing at San Kamphaeng Hot Spring before drive back to Chiang Mai.

Description: 

This program is especially for hikers and nature lovers.

We leave Chiang Mai early in the morning and drive to Baan Mae Kamphong. We continue to Chaesorn National Park.  After a coffee stop at the ranger station we will start to climb up Doi Mon Lan. We’ll walk through cloud forest and enjoy the incredible views and the many birds.

At the summit of Doi Mon Lan we have a 360 degree panorama over the mountains and forests of Chiang Mai and Lampang provinces. We will take our time to enjoy and make pictures.

From here we will walk down the mountain in about three hours. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch along the way and drive to the San Kamphaeng hot springs, to relax and dwell on the morning experiences. On the way back to Chiang Mai it is possible to visit some of the handicraft factories that we pass if you’d like.
